Tane and the Baskets of Knowledge

At the end of Term 2 as part of our Matariki Celebrations and our Term 2 Learning around "Our Stories" Kowhai class learnt the legend of Tane and Baskets of Knowledge and performed a dramatisation of this at our Celebration Assembly at the end of Term 2.
Here is a video of our performance.

Which is your favourite part?

  1. Kia ora Kowhai, this is Room 9 @ Glen Innes School. Thank you for sharing your dramatisation. Your performance was amazing. Our favourite part was when the insects fluttered around Tane. The insect masks are awesome. What did you use to make them?
    Thank you from Room 9

    1. Kia Ora Room 9 we used images from Google for the insect masks, we glued these onto cardboard, cut them out and added elastic to hold them on. We are glad you liked them!

  2. Hello Kowhai class, it is your blog buddy class Room 4. We really liked how everybody in your class took part in the play. We didnt know about Tane and his baskets so thankyou for teaching us. Maybe next time you could wear costumes that match the bugs.
